Become a volunteer with the Red Cross!
The American Red Cross is always looking for volunteers to help support the good work that they do. Neighbors helping neighbors is what the Red Cross is all about. Volunteers make up more than 90% of the total workforce needed to carry out their humanitarian mission. Red Cross volunteers perform such critical services as helping victims of fires, floods, storms, and other disasters; and providing lifesaving training in CPR and water safety. Others help the organization with office work, event planning, and much, much more. Volunteers are a part of everything we do, and there’s a volunteer opportunity for everyone.
They are looking for volunteers of all ages. There is an online volunteer application available if you are interested in hooking up with this organization. Go online to www.redcross.org/ny/buffalo/volunteer . Make sure you select the right application; there are applications for Adult (18+) and Youth (-18).
Pop Tabs Collections Committee
Year-round Help Needed
We are now in charge of collecting Pop Tabs in our community. Student volunteers are needed to pick up containers in the community and bring them back to school for preparing for donation to either the Ronald McDonald House or WCA Dialysis Unit. It would be great to have a student in each town responsible for pick ups and monitoring of the containers. Please see Mrs. Chase to volunteer.
