Summer Reading Challenge

Posted Date: 7/08/25 (2:51 PM)

This is a friendly reminder that elementary students came home with a Summer Reading Challenge packet! Challenges are a mix of activities to make something accessible to all families. Please contact the main office if you need a new copy or print from the link attached. We talked to students at the year-end assemblies about reading being the most important thing they can do to stop the summer slide of losing necessary skills. Research recommends 30 minutes per day of reading to grow a child's skills, including vocabulary, comprehension, predictions, social skills, etc. Read to your child, with your child, or next to your child! Any way you get a child reading is a win!

Any parts of the challenges completed this summer will be accepted in September for a chance to win some prizes!

Happy reading!
