Hello Pine Valley Elementary School Families!
I am thrilled to continue my work with our Pine Valley team! To keep up with some of the wonderful things happening in our building, follow me on Twitter @MrsMeacham and make sure you have the ParentSquare app set up. Our elementary team is here to ensure the safety, well-being, and education of our students, staff, and community.
One big goal is to improve our reading and writing scores for every student in our district. Practice produces improvement, and that is why we need your help! Every student should be practicing their reading each night for 15-30 minutes. This is tracked with reading logs that get returned to school every Friday. We have partnered with the South Dayton Library to ensure books are available through our colored leveling system to help find good choices for your child. Our own school library is available for students to borrow books from as well. Classroom teachers are happy to send home extra reading material as requested! I have attached a generic Reading Log Form for printing, should you find a need for one! Make reading a fun, family event! Happy reading!
