A message from the Superintendent...

Hello to the Pine Valley community!

It continues to be an honor to serve Pine Valley Central School District as your Superintendent of Schools. I remain grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated and supportive Panther community.

At Pine Valley CSD, our work is grounded in several key focus areas that guide our decisions and priorities. First and foremost is safety—creating a safe, supportive environment where all students and staff feel secure and valued. We are equally committed to academic growth, striving to ignite curiosity in our students and help shape their future through meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

We recognize that student success is directly connected to the strength of our team. That is why teacher and staff growth remains a priority, as we work to empower our educators and elevate excellence through ongoing professional development and support. Additionally, we are focused on wellness, encouraging our entire school community to thrive together and remain strong in both mind and body.

Clear and consistent communication is essential to all that we do. We are committed to keeping our families, staff, and community members informed, connected, and engaged in the work of our district.

Guiding all of this work is our commitment to developing a strong Portrait of a Graduate. We are working together to define the skills, attributes, and competencies our students will need to be successful beyond Pine Valley—whether in college, career, or service. This shared vision helps ensure that every decision we make supports the development of well-rounded, resilient, and future-ready graduates.

As Superintendent, I remain dedicated to transparent leadership and collaboration with our Board of Education, staff, students, and community. Together, we will continue strengthening our shared mission and vision while maintaining a strong focus on fiscal responsibility.

I am deeply appreciative of the opportunity to listen, learn, and grow with our Panthers. Thank you to our committees, administrators, Board of Education members, families, students, and staff for your continued trust and partnership.

All district residents are encouraged to participate in public events on our campus—performances, meetings, fundraisers, initiatives, and more—as we continue to grow together as a community. Please stay connected by visiting our website, ParentSquare platform, and following us on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and X by searching for @PVCSPanther.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email at sduclon@pval.org or by phone at 716-988-3291, ext. 3010. Keeping communication open remains a priority, and your feedback is always valued and appreciated.

Warmly,
Shanda DuClon
Superintendent of Schools
